BRAZILIAN JIU-JITSU

BJJ is a highly technical and dynamic grappling art focused on leverage, submissions, and control. Known as the “gentle art" it allows a smaller person to defend themselves against a larger opponent by using technique over strength.

 

​Our BJJ program is led by Stu, a third-degree black belt and highly respected instructor with years of teaching and competition experience. Whether you’re a junior just starting out, an adult beginner, or a seasoned practitioner sharpening your game, our classes cater to all ages and all levels. We welcome those training for fitness, self-defense, personal growth, or to compete at the highest level.

KICKBOXING

This class blends the best of Muay Thai and K1-style striking to deliver a complete and explosive stand-up combat system. You’ll learn how to punch, kick, knee, elbow, and even dominate the clinch - building real striking skills with proper technique and power.

Our classes are designed for all levels - from absolute beginners to competitive fighters. Whether you're here to get fit, boost confidence, or step into the ring, our coaches will guide you safely and effectively, tailoring training to your personal goals. For those looking to compete, we’ll prepare you for the rule set you want to fight in - Muay Thai, K1, or anything in between.

MIXED MARTIAL ARTS

MMA is the ultimate full-contact combat sport, combining striking, grappling, and ground fighting into one complete fighting system. It demands strength, skill, agility, and strategy - making it one of the most dynamic martial arts you can learn.

Our MMA program is led by Ash, our Head Coach with over 20 years of experience in the sport and a background that includes working with the UFC - the largest MMA organization in the world - and a career spent training alongside some of the best fighters on the planet, our coaching brings world-class knowledge straight to your session.

Whether you're a complete beginner, training to level up your fitness, or preparing to step into the cage, our classes are designed for all ages and all levels. Learn how to strike, wrestle, grapple, and blend it all into a fluid and formidable fighting style.

BOXING

One of our most popular classes combining real boxing techniques, high-energy cardio, and smart fight conditioning. Whether you’re stepping into the gym for the first time or looking to sharpen your competitive edge, we’ll help you punch harder, move smarter, and build true ring confidence.

Our sessions focus on all essentials of the sweet science: throwing crisp punches, slipping and blocking strikes, footwork, timing, and strategic combos. Classes are open to all levels - from beginners who just want to learn proper technique and get fit, to aspiring fighters ready to go the distance.

KIDS CLASSES

Kids' Self-Defense & MMA (Ages 7+)

At SMMACA, our Kids' Self-Defense & MMA Program teaches real-life self-defense skills in a fun, safe, and supportive environment. We combine effective MMA techniques, practical self-defense strategies, and core principles from Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) to help kids build confidence, fitness, and resilience.

Classes include striking, grappling, and situational awareness - helping children learn how to protect themselves while developing coordination, discipline, and courage. We also focus on teamwork and respect, fostering strong character both on and off the mats.

Kids’ BJJ Fundamentals (Ages 7+)

Our Kids’ BJJ Fundamentals Program introduces young students to the “gentle art” of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Through fun drills and structured learning, we teach traditional martial arts values like honor, discipline, and respect, while building practical grappling skills for real-world situations.

Kids learn how to stay safe, stay calm, and stay in control - all while having fun, making friends, and growing in confidence.

Whether your child wants to build self-esteem, gain fitness, learn self-defense, or work toward becoming a future champion - our kids’ programs offer the perfect mix of skill, mindset, and fun.

PERSONAL TRAINING

We also offer personal training and 1-to-1 or small group coaching for those who want faster progress, tailored guidance or focused technical development. These sessions are built around your goals - whether that’s fitness, weight loss, striking, confidence, competition prep or sharpening fundamentals.
